OK I'll admit it..I'm missing being at Radio 2 - it is my spiritual radio home really and, hopefully, before too long

I'll be back at Britain's most popular radio station..

Remembering good times above with the legendary Johnnie Walker, Geoff Jein, Paul Rodgers, he of the beard, and yours truly with a severe haircut!

Johnnie launched his autobiography earlier this year. It's a right riveting read - and I get a couple of mentions in it...thanks JW!  I am back in London after doing the 'Drive' programme on BBC Radio Sheffield, which was back to my roots in local radio again..but I'm now building  up to Beijing and the Olympics in 2008.

Why look! It's the Pub Landlord incognito. The brilliant Al Murray at a read through for his new ITV1 series for 2009.

How to describe it? A Catherine Tate meets Fast Show kind of sketch show.

As with Ms. Tate - some of it is spot on, some misses the target - not sure about the camp German which is 'Allo 'Allo taken to the next level - but the Scouse footballer is brilliant...who was that based on I wonder?

Talking of legends - here is Britain's best-ever all round commentator.  And along side me (ho ho) is Barry Davies. Under-used by the BBC, in my humble opinion, and still the man for the right word, at the right time.

Looking forward to working alongside 'The Legend' in Beijing in August.
